The story of a hotel is told most effectively through imagery which instantly allows potential customers to appreciate the atmosphere and style of the property. Tony has been photographing hotels for decades and understands the particular details which make an image striking and appealing to hotel guests.
Tony has a long-lasting relationship with hotel photography, having worked with luxury hotels in 43 countries around the world since the 1980s. His very first hotel was The Carlton Tower and since then he has worked with a number of exclusive establishments, including Pennyhill Park, Sofitel St James, The Westbury and The Cavendish, as well as large hotel groups such as Hilton and Holiday Inn.
Natural light can be fantastic for hotel photography, but it is rarely reliable, especially when shooting interiors. Tony’s central goal when embarking on a shoot is, therefore, to overcome any lighting issues by enhancing the natural light with his own lighting to produce images that are bright, compelling and consistent in style.
The team have a range of specialist wide architectural lenses, which allow Tony to capture a whole variety of angles in sharp and straight photographs without 'bending' the room or space. This ensures a better quality and a more natural look than straightening the images in the post-production retouching process.
Hotels often use Tony for all of their photography; interior shots, food photography, and people images. This saves business owners from having to hire multiple photographers and aids the development of a house style that is easily recognised.
