Keeping your content calendar full of creative, high-quality imagery is a challenge at best. It can be a struggle to stay 3-6 months ahead of each event/season and working out when you can fit photoshoots into your busy schedule can be a organisational nightmare, especially in the hospitality industry. Plus, if you fall behind you run the risk of having to use stock images that don’t show off your venue or having to limit the time your campaign can run for because it can’t go out without imagery.
Don't worry, we have a solution!
From experience, we’ve found that the best thing to do is set aside 3 days, or even just 1-2 days depending on the size of your business, and shoot all of your content for 2 seasons in one go.
This means no panicking because you’ve forgotten to get organised for Valentine’s Day and it’s February already, it also means significantly less time wasted arranging shoot days and more time that can be spent improving your business.
We suggest shooting spring and summer together using brighter lighting, light and vibrant colours and summery props, and then shooting autumn and winter together with lower lighting, a cosier feel and wintery props.
To help you get started here are some of the events you might want to think about when planning your photoshoots:
Spring and summer
- Spring deals you may be offering
- New menu
- Outdoors shots
- Father’s Day
Autumn and winter
- Bonfire night
- Valentine’s Day
- Winter menu
- New Year
- Mother’s Day
- Shrove Tuesday
It might seem like a lot to get through but if you plan it well it’s a great way to get ahead of the game and your competitors.
